Edit: Feb 20th 2009 - With Sonic Shorts 5 out now, it seems my short has been pushed by to Volume 6. There have been problems with the file size, so I don't mind.

Cast your mind back to the good old days of Sonic 3. Do you remember the barrel in Carnival Night Zone that you could not get past? Well you weren't the only one! Plenty of people had this problem, and still do!

This is the idea for my short. Sonic arrives at one of the barrels and jumps on to it. It fails to move so he tries again. Confused, he looks towards Tails who has no idea. In the 'a long time later' part, you will see Sonic attacking the barrel with a clamer (we all wanted revenge against this barrel, you see lol. We then see Tails conducting experiments on the barrel while Sonic waits impatiently. He then notices that they are approching the 10 minute mark and orders Tails to hurry up. While sulkling he discovers the instruction manual on how to use the barrel. Reading it, he discovers just how easy it is to use. Angry at this revelation, Sonic loses his temper, but before he can swear the timer reaches 9:59 and he dies.

I remember that, I found it quite fustrating when I was up to that bit. It made me just as angry as Sonic in this animation. But I knew that a few years later.

UP AND DOWN?! UP AND DOWN!!!! I actually screamed this after many wasted lives trying to get past that stupid barrel. A friend told me to press up and down and I thought she meant jump up and down, but no.... Stupid carnival night zone...
